01 · What it's good at

Use it for this.

Three jobs this model is built for, and the ones to give to something else.

01

One endpoint when you do not want to choose the generator yourself

Skip it for

  • A probability you threshold. Use a decision model for that.

02 · Example tasks

What you'd actually send it.

Real inputs, not a benchmark. Paste one into the snippet below to try it.

You send

Send any user request; let the router pick the model.

Why this model

Routers choose the downstream model.

03 · Your stack

Where it sits: Plan & reason.

A router chooses where the request goes. Price is often variable. Log the downstream model if you need to explain a result later.

04 · Wire it up

One request. Paste and run.

Uses OpenRouter, so one key works for every model on this site. Set OPENROUTER_API_KEY and swap the prompt for one of the tasks above.

// OpenRouter speaks the OpenAI Chat Completions format.

From our review · 2026-10-18

OpenRouter describes Jev Router as picking the model and the reasoning effort for each request across the ecosystem. Under the hood it runs on Jev, TypeSafe's decision model. That makes it the closest thing in this catalog to a 'decision router.' It is not the Decisions API shape you call when you want p(spam).
